  14. This new version of Banana Quest has lost a lot of bugs from the previous
  15. version (1.0) plus some nice features added, such as Pause during the game.
  16. Also, the game now informs you of errors, instead of simply locking up 
  17. (like in the previous version).

  58. 1. INTRODUCTION

  60.     In this game, you, as the monkey, must collect all the sacred 
  61.     bananas that the evil monkey Yeknom has stolen, in 7 stages of
  62.     pure fun and excitement. As you find enough bananas, you
  63.     progress in the game, going to the next level.

  74.     2.1 TO INSTALL AND RUN
  75.         
  76.     You have probably downloaded this game from some BBS or the gamez section
  77.     of the Andre Creations Home Page, and uncompressed it (Otherwise you would
  78.     not be reading this file, anyway). Now, your directory structure
  79.     should look as following:

  82.     SOUNDS\
  83.     
  84.     If it doesn't, you forget to uncompress the game with the -d option.
  85.     Try uncompressing it again with the -d option.
  86.  
  87.     If it does look like that, you are supposed to have a file called 
  88.     BANANA.EXE on the same directory of this file. To run the game, just
  89.     run it by typing BANANA in the DOS prompt (or the Windows 95 DOS Box).

  92.     2.1.1 HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

  94.         If you are having problems with this game, check if your hardware
  95.         meets the minimum Hardware Requirements:

  97.         CPU:386 (486 recommended)
  98.         RAM:600k of FREE conventional memory, 2MB XMS
  99.         SOUND: Sound Blaster Pro or compatible sound card
  100.         VIDEO: VGA

  111.     2.2 TO PLAY
  112.  
  113.     Playing Banana Quest is really very simple: all you have to do is to
  114.     walk from one side to the other of the screen, catching as many bananas
  115.     you can. When a number of bananas has already fallen, you'll pass or not
  116.     to the next level, depending on how many bananas you got.

  118.     You may also pick up some green bonus balls that fall sometimes. They
  119.     may give you more speed or increase your score.
  120.  
  121.     This game can be played using the Keyboard or a Joystick. If you
  122.     choose Joystick in the Configure menu, a quick Joystick calibration will 
  123.     happen and you are ready to play.

  129.         The following keys can be pressed during the game to do the following

  134.             Right           Moves the monkey right
  135.             Left            Moves the monkey left

  137.             F1              Turn sound off
  138.             F2              Turn sound on
  139.             J               Turns Joystick mode on (note: you must have
  140.                                  calibrated your Joystick before)
  141.             K               Turns Keyboard mode on
  142.             P               Pauses the game. Press ENTER to resume playing

  145.         Of course, there are some nice cheat keys, but those you must 
  146.         discover by yourself :).
